Cancellation and Refund Policy

ClearPath — ABN: 52 745 979 937
Last updated: 27 September 2026

Your consumer rights are preserved: Receiving or downloading a report does not remove your rights if the purchased service is faulty, incomplete or not as described. Change-of-mind requests are different from remedies for service failures. Contact us if delivery, access, billing or report accuracy is wrong.

This Refund Policy applies to all paid services provided by ClearPath, a service of Clearpath Modifications Advisory (ABN 52 745 979 937). It covers the Detailed Weight Distribution Calculator & Report ($29), Risk Scan ($49), Vehicle + Caravan Assessment ($99), Complete Vehicle Build Assessment ($149), any expressly purchased human-reviewed service, and paid memberships or subscriptions.

This policy is subject to and must be read in conjunction with the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Delivery methods and expected timeframes are explained in our Service Delivery Policy. Service scope and calculation limits are explained in our Disclaimer. Neither limits your statutory rights. For refund requests or queries, please contact us at support@clearpathmodificationadvisory.com.au.

We assess the service supplied and the problem reported. The commitments below apply in addition to your statutory rights; the remedy for a consumer guarantee failure depends on the nature and seriousness of the problem.

2.1 Service Not Delivered

If we cannot supply the purchased service within the agreed time, or within a reasonable time where no time was agreed, contact us for a remedy. Where no purchased service has been supplied and we are unable to complete delivery, we will issue a full refund. Standard automated reports normally take about one minute after verified payment and complete intake information; this is an estimate. Human-reviewed orders follow the timeframe in the order confirmation. A payment receipt alone does not confirm completion.

2.2 Duplicate Payments

Where a duplicate charge has occurred for the same service due to a payment processing error, the duplicate payment amount will be refunded in full. Please contact us with your payment reference or order details so we can confirm and process the duplicate refund promptly.

2.3 Technical Fault Preventing Report Generation

Where a confirmed technical fault on our platform has prevented the generation or delivery of your report, and we are unable to resolve the fault and deliver the service within a reasonable timeframe, a full refund will be issued. We will take reasonable steps to notify you of any technical issue affecting your order and offer either a redelivery or a full refund at your election.

2.4 Australian Consumer Law Guarantee Failure

Where the service fails to meet a consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law — including the guarantee that services will be provided with due care and skill, or that they will be fit for any purpose made known to us — you may be entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law, which may include a refund or re-supply of the service.

The following circumstances do not, by themselves, entitle you to a refund. They do not prevent a remedy for a faulty, incomplete or misdescribed service or otherwise limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

3.1 Change of Mind

We do not ordinarily offer a change-of-mind refund after the purchased service has been supplied as described. If you wish to cancel before completion, contact us promptly so we can check whether processing or human review has started and explain the available options. Automated generation can begin immediately, so cancellation cannot always stop it. This does not affect cancellation or refund rights arising from a service failure.

3.2 Report Does Not Confirm Compliance

An unfavourable Risk Indicator or Assessment Status is not, by itself, grounds for a refund. Reports identify matters to investigate using available inputs and assumptions; they do not certify safety or legal compliance. If a result is materially incorrect or the service was not supplied as described, we will assess that concern under this policy.

3.3 Inaccurate Customer-Supplied Information

An error caused solely by inaccurate information you supplied does not automatically entitle you to a refund. Contact us with corrected details so we can assess whether the report can be corrected or generated again and explain any options before additional paid work. This does not exclude a remedy for errors in our calculations, supplied reference data, processing or other failures for which ClearPath is responsible.

3.4 Dissatisfaction with Advisory Opinion

A refund will not be issued solely because you disagree with the advisory opinion, risk assessment, or recommendations contained in a report. Advisory opinions are based on the information available at the time of assessment. If you believe a material error has occurred in the analysis, please contact us to request a review.

3.5 Report Already Delivered

Delivery may be through on-screen access, a download, email or a dashboard, depending on the purchased service. A generated file does not by itself establish that all promised work has been completed or that the service meets consumer guarantees. If an included download is inaccessible, an expressly purchased human review is missing, or you identify a material error, contact us for investigation and the applicable remedy.

To request a refund, please contact us by email at support@clearpathmodificationadvisory.com.au with the following information:

  • Your full name and email address used at the time of purchase
  • The date of purchase
  • The service you purchased (e.g. Risk Scan, Vehicle + Caravan Assessment)
  • Your payment reference, order confirmation or other reasonable proof of purchase (if available)
  • A description of the reason for your refund request

We will acknowledge your refund request within 2 business days and aim to investigate and respond substantively within 5 business days. If more time is needed, we will explain why and provide an update. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays, using Sydney time (AEST/AEDT). These response targets do not postpone any remedy you are entitled to by law. Do not send full payment-card details, passwords or security codes.

Refunds will ordinarily be returned through Stripe to the original payment method, unless another method is agreed or required. We will confirm when the refund has been submitted. Bank or card processing may then take additional time; any estimate we provide is not a guaranteed arrival date. We will not require you to accept store credit instead of a refund you are entitled to.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this Refund Policy limits, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)).

For a major service failure, you can choose to cancel the contract and receive the applicable refund, or keep it and seek a price reduction reflecting the failure. A cancellation refund may account for work already supplied properly. Other rights, including compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss, may also apply.

For a minor service failure, we must put it right without charge within a reasonable time. If we cannot or will not do so, further remedies may apply, including cancellation and an applicable refund or recovery of reasonable costs of having the problem fixed elsewhere.

Read the ACCC guidance on refunds and service remedies. If a dispute remains unresolved, your state or territory consumer protection agency may assist. The ACCC accepts reports but does not resolve individual disputes.

Automatic renewal: ClearPath subscriptions renew monthly or annually until cancelled. The price, billing frequency and renewal basis are disclosed before checkout.

How to cancel: The account owner can use the billing or cancellation options provided for the plan. If those options are unavailable or do not work, contact support promptly with your account email and order details so we can assist. There is no cancellation fee. Cancellation stops future renewal; access ordinarily continues until the end of the paid period. Contact us if a charge occurs after cancellation should have taken effect.

Change of mind: We do not ordinarily provide a refund for unused time after cancellation or for a clearly disclosed renewal that was not cancelled in time. This does not limit rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Billing errors: Verified duplicate or incorrect subscription charges will be corrected and the incorrectly charged amount refunded.

Service failure: The consumer guarantee remedies in Section 5 also apply to eligible subscription services. Cancelling renewal does not remove any right to a refund or other remedy for a service failure.

Termination by ClearPath: If ClearPath ends a prepaid subscription without customer fault, it will provide a proportionate refund for unused prepaid time, except where termination is required because of fraud, unlawful conduct or a serious breach of the applicable terms.

Annual subscribers will receive a renewal reminder at least 14 days before renewal. Price increases will be notified at least 30 days before they take effect, with the option to cancel before the new price applies. See the Subscription Terms and the plan details supplied before purchase.

ClearPath reserves the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Updated versions will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. The policy applicable to your purchase is the version in effect at the time your payment is processed.
